Spinning Yarns

Spinning Yarns is a collaborative storytelling game that uses tarot cards (or a standard deck of playing cards) to weave a story back and forth between players by placing cards in a Loom formation.

You (the players) are the Fates, weaving together the stories of the lives of mortals. Each of you will choose a Champion, a life to guide to greatness, goodness, fame, fortune, love, or doom as you see fit. You build your Champions by choosing three cards from the Major Arcana, which make up the personality, past, and desires of the character.

The goal is to tell a compelling story—as a group, talk about what kind of story you want to tell, set boundaries, choose a genre, and think about the kind of characters that will make a good foundation for your journey.
